This hotel is a full 20 minutes travel time from Midway. I was dissatisfied with the lack of flexibility regarding shuttle departure. My family and I needed to be at the airport by 8:30 AM. I was told that I needed to leave on the 6:40 AM shuttle, as the next one wasn't going out until late morning. I opted for a cab ($40) so I didn't have to sit around the airport for an extra 1 1/2 hrs. Seems like they should have hourly service if they are a park and fly.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn on Joliet Road. I give the place a big fat ZERO! I ended up taking a taxi both to and from the airport. For my departuer, the shuttle driver 'did not come to work', and for my return, it was going to be 45 minutes before he could get to Midway. I waited on the phone for the hotel manager to deliver this message, all the while hearing their recorded message "conveniently located just 20 minutes from Midway and 25 minutes from OHare". BUNK! Then she asked, "did you schedule a pick-up?". Of COURSE I did. Obviously, it was not in the book, but that is not my problem. As I entered the hotel on my return to complain/ get reimbursed for the cost of the taxi ($39), I heard the manager explaining to a couple that they would have to take the 4:40 shuttle to the airport because the 5:40 and 6:40 shuttles were already full. This meant that this couple would arrive at Midway at 5am for 9am flight. The manager did not bat an eye as she said to them, "I've heard that the airport is going to be really busy tomorrow, so getting there early might be a good idea". Serioulsy, 4 hours ahead of flight time so that this couple could accommodate the hotel shuttle? What about accommodating the hotel guest? Very poor experience. I will not ever stay there again. I've stayed at the Doubletree in the past, and it was just perfect. I tried to stay there this time, but they were completely booked, and I guess the reason for that is obvious. Thanks for asking.

this hotel was great the service was great the room was very clean the shuttle took us to the airport picked us up as soon as we arrived the shuttle was outside waiting for us everytime we fly out of Midway we will stay here. again thank you for excellent service from the staff .

I was so disappointed by the shuttle service pickup from the airport. We were told to make a reservation the day before, which we did. We called three times after we landed and the shuttle still took over 1 1/2 hours after we landed. I asked for a refund, which they said they would do but it still hasn't shown up on my account. I would never stay at this hotel again.

They have a couple of VERY RUDE staff members. We had a large group (9) traveling together. When we checked in the woman at the front desk said they could not get us a shuttle for that many people.. They use 15 passenger vans to shuttle.. The manager which is a VERY nice gentleman stepped in asked us what we needed and found us 2 shuttles to use the next morning. When we departed for our trip we made sure to schedule our return shuttle from the airport since we were also traveling with 4 car seats. The shuttle dropped us off at the airport and they hung onto our car seats for us which was greatly appreciated. While on our vacation we called 36 hours before our arrival to confirm our return shuttle from the airport to the hotel, which we had already scheduled when we left. The desk was very rude and told us there was nothing they could do and that we would have to sit at the airport for an extra hour with 4 kids under 6 and wait for another shuttle. We requested to speak to the manager and again we spoke to the very nice gentleman, I wish I knew his name. He took care of us and made sure we had what we needed. While I called to confirm the information that was given to us the young man at the front desk actually hung up on me telling me there was nothing he could do. When the shuttle arrived there were only 3 car seats in it so we had to have a child ride without a car seat. They did have it at the hotel but decided not to put it in I guess. The gentleman that actually drove the shuttles were very nice and we tipped them very well. Overall everything worked out but we ended up just dealing with the manager and skipped the front desk personnel. Seems like he needs to clean house a little bit and hire a couple of people who appreciate a job.
